At Ela Family Farms, our focus is on apples, peaches, pears and tomatoes. But we do grow raspberries and blackberries, which are fantastic to eat fresh and also freeze extremely well. Like all berries, our raspberries and blackberries are highly perishable so put them in the refrigerator, unwashed and uncovered, when you get home, and eat them within a few days. Should there be any bruised berries in your bag, remove them before refrigerating. Frozen berries can be added to muffins and smoothies throughout the winter, and can be blended with yogurt for a healthy frozen dessert.
